In the cases specified by the Commercial Law and the Cooperative Societies Law, the valuation of a contribution in kind for joint stock companies, limited liability companies, and cooperative societies may be carried out only by an expert included in the list approved by the Register of Enterprises of the Republic of Latvia. The list is published and available on the Latvian Open Data Portal. Open data are available in a machine-readable format (CSV file), as well as in a user-friendly XLSX format. Inclusion in the list, changes to the information about a valuator, or removal from the list is a free-of-charge service:

• a natural or a legal person;
• a valuator may be entered in the list of valuators only once — either as a natural person or as a valuator employed by one legal person;
• a valuator may perform valuations in one or more fields.
