3. Certify the Signature

  • Documents may be signed using a secure electronic signature and a time stamp. If a document must be signed by multiple persons, it may be submitted electronically only if all signatories have an electronic signature.

  • At a sworn notary.

  • At the Orphan’s and Custody Court (Bāriņtiesa), according to the declared place of residence (if the person has a personal identity number of the Republic of Latvia), if there is no notary in the municipality, city, or parish.

When submitting documents in paper form, it is necessary to certify the signature(s) of the member(s) of the executive board on application form KR6. If the procuration is terminated by the procuration holder and application form KR6 is signed by the procuration holder, it is not necessary to notarise the signature on the application form.
