A representative office of a foreign merchant or organisation is an organisationally independent unit of a merchant registered abroad or of a public or non-profit organisation registered abroad, which is located in the Republic of Latvia. Representative offices of foreign merchants or organisations in the Republic of Latvia:

• do not have the right to engage in commercial activity or other economic activity;
• do not have the status of a legal person;
• may be represented by one or more authorised representatives of the foreign merchant or organisation.
