A representative office of a foreign merchant or organisation is an organisationally independent part of a merchant registered abroad or of a public or non-profit organisation registered abroad, which is located in the Republic of Latvia. Representative offices of foreign merchants or organisations in the Republic of Latvia:

• are not entitled to engage in commercial activity or other economic activity;
• do not have the status of a legal entity;
• are represented by one or more authorised representatives of the foreign merchant or organisation.
