SIA should be registered in the Enterprise Register in order to start a business.

In the cases specified in the Law, an application for registration of changes may be sent for inspection to the State Revenue Service. Read more about the assessment of applications received in the Enterprise Register at the State Revenue Service.

Documents to be submitted:

• application form KR4 (signatures must be certified - or notarially or with a secure e-signature to be submitted electronically);
• a decision establishing or establishing a Treaty;
• statutes;
• statement of the payment service provider or other document regarding payment of fixed capital (if the share capital or part thereof is paid up in cash and the cash investments exceed EUR 50 000). In other cases, where the cash contribution is up to EUR 50 000, the founders shall certify in the application form KR4 that a payment account has been opened in the name of the company to be founded and payment of the share capital has been made therein.
• an opinion regarding the value of each property investment object and a document certifying the transfer thereof to the company (if the equity capital has been paid up with the property investment);
• a division of the register of participants (signatures shall be certified - or notarially, or with a secure e-signature in order to submit electronically);
• consent of each Member of the Council to hold office (if a Council has been established);
• the consent of each Member of the Management Board to hold office if the consent is not included in point 12 of application form KR4 (signatures must be certified - or notarially or with a secure e-signature to be submitted electronically);
• a statement by the board of directors regarding the registered office, which includes a statement that the company is reachable and has a legal basis to be located at the designated legal address. The cadastral designation of the building, premises or apartment shall be indicated in the notification (to be submitted mandatory if the application is not signed by the board of directors);
• a questionnaire for inclusion of information in the Register of natural persons (to be signed by the foreigner himself or herself with a secure electronic signature in order to submit electronically; if there is no secure electronic signature, this document shall not be submitted) of a foreigner (foreigner) who has a legal link with Latvia on the basis of which mutual rights and obligations in the field of commercial activities and taxes are formed or have developed, but no personal identity number of the Republic of Latvia has been granted;
• if the application is submitted by postal services, information regarding payment of the State fee shall be appended (receipt or a copy thereof, or printout of an Internet bank payment or free text information).

Documents must be completed/drawn up in Latvian.
