A sole proprietorship is a natural person entered in the Commercial Register.
A natural person has an obligation to register as a sole proprietorship in the Commercial Register if they conform to any of the following features:
- the annual turnover from their economic activity exceeds EUR 284,600;
- their economic activity corresponds to that of a commercial agent (Section 45 of the Commercial Law) or a broker;
- their annual turnover from economic activity exceeds EUR 28,500 and, for the performance of economic activities, they simultaneously employ more than five employees.
A natural person may also apply for registration in the Commercial Register as a sole proprietorship even if they do not meet the above-mentioned criteria.
